Christmas wishlist 2011

It was only when I visited the local mall yesterday and saw that Christmas ornaments and Santa Claus puppets were up all over the place that I actually realized that Christmas is just around the corner.

Ok – we still have more than 50 days, but still! The supermarket inspired me to start this years Christmas wishlist (Wife – listen up!)

1: Garmin 910XT:

Garmin 910XT
This is THE number 1 wish by far. Being a triathlete and a tech geek (Yes – I have only done 1 so far, but expect to do a few more next year) this is the ultimate training partner that I simply have to have. The much improved swim capabilities and the new barometric altimeter (I told you I was a tech geek) this is perfect to replace my now quite worn Garmin 305.

2: Plane ticket to California or Colorado:

Tour of California
99% of the interesting cycling races take place in Europe (No – I am not referring to the 2012 Giro start in Herning!). I have been lucky to be at most of them including TdF, Giro, Vuelta, Spring Classics, so living in the USA there are only really a few races that I would consider going to.

The first is Tour of California that takes place in May (13-20 of May to be specific) and the second is USA Pro Cycling Challenge that takes place in August in Colorado.

I would bring my bike and try and do a few of the climbs/stages before I would put my behind somewhere close to the finish line and see if the pro’s could do it better :)

If you plan to go and would like someone to ride with, let me know!

Those are the wishes for now, but I guess I still have time to complete the list before Christmas :)
