What is this:
This is basically just a personal blog about two of my main interests: Cycling and running. I could also include topics like photography, webdesign and gadgets, but that would just make the blog too much of a mash-up. Cycling and running are close enough to make sense in one website.
Who am I:
A Dane, relocated to the US in Nov. 2010 that found too much time on my hands. As most Danes I have ridden a bike since I was a kid, but I became a cyclist in 1996 with the purchase of my first mountain-bike. A lot of years went by riding the forests around Copenhagen with a lot of cool guys and girls from DMK but after a serious kidney trauma in 2001 my interest kind of weakened. Riding the trails became a nervous affair.
So I took up running and road biking instead and haven’t looked back since. For a long time both running and biking was done for fun, without competing besides against myself.
In 2008 I was lucky enough to work at Saxo Bank – just at the time that the sponsorship of Bjarne Riis’ cycling team came into place. And I was even more lucky to me be appointed sponsorship responsible. So for the next 2 1/2 years I spent most of my time going to cycling races, planning campaigns and creating events together with the team.
But in 2010 it was over as I moved to New Jersey and suddenly had all the time in the world on my hands.
Since then I have increased my bike and run training quite a bit. I compete here and there in local races, but nothing major.
The next logical step was to start blogging a bit about my interests. The result is what you found here.
