Posted on by Laurits Fischer-Hansen Posted in Biking | Leave a comment

Yes – the mailman just arrived with the latest addition to my always growing array of cycling clothes. This time it’s the new Rapha Cross 3/4 knickers. I wont be doing any cross biking this winter but the design and price was just too good to miss. Tomorrow is a day a with 9 degrees celsius so it could be the first day out with the new clothes (if my son decides to get rid of his stomach flu and …

What’s up at Dick’s?

I went by the local Dick’s Sporting Goods today as I often do – I seldom buy anything but it takes the edge off my buying desire to browse around the megastore. I went down to the shoe section and quickly found myself giving the Men’s ProGrid Kinvara 2 a look, as it was on sales at the bargain price of $59. So I decided to try it out. After looking in the shoes I had on, I went for …

It’s nice to see that some can still make paint schemes with an edge. And this one from Vandeyk certainly has an edge. Oh – and it’s limited to 25 pieces. More photos on http://www.cycleexif.com/vandeyk-nightstream-di2

Even though I am more a Carbon “lastest’is-the-greatest” kind of type I must admit that sometimes the old stuff really works for me as well. As for instance this old Colnago Mexico Pista Team SCIC that I found on onebuttmanysaddles.com You can find more really nice photos on the site: onebuttmanysaddles.com or on his Flickr page

Today’s trail run

Posted on by Laurits Fischer-Hansen Posted in Running | Leave a comment

Even though yesterday was pretty wet with rain for the most part of 20 hours I felt like going for a trail run in the local Mercer County Park, so I put on my Speedcross and went out the door. At the park conditions were pretty mixed at some spots there was 4-8 inches of water on the trail so those areas were pretty much un-runable. Some of the other areas that were a little higher were fine. So the …

Its a pretty nice kit that Omega Pharma-Quick Step revealed yesterday. Color-wise it looks a bit inspired by the Leopard kit. Its just a shame that the very blue Quick Step logo totally sticks out of the rest of the design.

I always had a fascination with wheel building and combining it with some nice old school Beastie Boys samples only make this video better! LUXExMILLIMAN from Chris Milliman on Vimeo. Check out the website
